Use your powerful POS tool set to take control over each part of your checkout process by customizing them for your business. 

You have the options to add a pre-set discount list, turn tip options on and off, and set your tax percentage by services and/ or products! To start using these features you'll need to make sure you've turned on 'Payments' within your account.

Let's get started.

From the Website

To edit each of these settings from Genbook.com, start from your main Settings page:

Then click through these sets of steps:

Tax

Add tax to your services and/or products for your customers' when they are checking out by clicking:

  • Taxes
  • Toggle Taxes 'On' and "Off' by services, products
  • Set the percentages
  • Set them to be included in the total listed price or excluded and added on top
  • Save changes

Tip

Enable/Disable the option for your customers to leave a tip during checkout by clicking: 

  • Tips
  • Toggle Enable Tips 'On'
  • Save changes

Discounts

Add one or more 'ready to go' discounts to apply to your checkouts (Friends & Family discount, anyone?). Set the labels and amount by clicking: 

  • Discounts
  • Type in the discount 'Name'
  • Set the percentage of that discount
  • Save Changes

From the iPhone App

To set these checkout preferences via the Manager App for iphone head to 'Point of Sale' in your Setting Menu:

From there tap through these options:

Tax

To set where & how you want to apply tax to your checkout via the iphone app, tap:

  • Taxes
  • Toggle the tax options you want under Services and/or Products on/off
  • Set them to be included or excluded from your listed price
  • Set the percentage
  • 'Done' to save changes

Tip

To turn on/off the option for your customers to tip you during checkout  tap on:

  • Tips 
  • Toggle 'Enable Tips' on/off

Discounts

To add pre-set discounts ready to apply at checkout via the iphone app, tap: 

  • Discounts
  •  "+" 
  • Add Discount name & percentage
  • 'Done' to save changes

You're all set! Now all that's left to do is start charging!
