Through our partnership with Google, Genbook's smart and simple online solution connects your scheduling page to the Google Business pages and Maps listings, allowing clients to see your schedule and book appointments right from Google. This new feature — “Reserve with Google” — is a direct connection between your Genbook appointment booking and your Google Search and Maps listings. Since the vast majority of local searches begin on Google, we recommend making sure you're set up to take advantage of this great option.

In short, this integration allows your customers to book their appointments right from your business’s listing in Google Search on both Desktop and Mobile devices. Your listing will also be displayed in relevant Google searches for your services and business type in your local area. (*Currently not supported for businesses in Quebec*)

Customers can select a service category, service, and even a staff member, directly from Google. Booking your services only takes a couple of clicks!

There is also a Reserve with Google webpage where new customers can search for your services.

Here are the steps you’ll need to take for your business to be included on Reserve with Google:

1. Claim your listing & update your business info on “Google My Business“. This will validate your business listings in Google Search and in Google Maps, and help match them to Genbook.

(Note: If you haven't claimed your business yet, part of the process may include verifying your location via a postcard that Google will send you, or another method they choose to use and make you aware of for validation purposes).

2. Make sure your business info (business name, address, phone number) matches EXACTLY between Genbook and Google. To edit your business info in Genbook, go to Settings and click “Contact Details” under “Business Profile”. (We strongly recommend you begin typing your address, then choose from the list of suggested options, which are pre-matched to Google listings.)

3. Remove any non-bookable information from your Genbook Service Categories and Service Names (under Settings > Services). Examples of non-bookable information include: business and cancellation policies, notes and messages to customers, phone numbers and any other information that isn’t strictly a bookable service or service category. (Note: Including non-bookable information will prevent your business from being integrated with Google.)
